The employees readily state "we're totally separate from the dealership". Perhaps, but what's the point of t of bringing one's auto 'to the dealership', if non-body maintenance can't be coordinated with the dealership, and phone calls can't even be transferred between the two? The lack of coordination goes further. Because body work is NEVER done before 4PM (I'm told), there's no way to get other minor maintenance done by the dealership on the same day. Because the body shop won't transport the car to the dealership for other work, I'm forced to collect the car one afternoon, then drive it back to "Hinshaw's" again the next day. Where's the customer service in that?! Finally, in my case, what was initially estimated by Allstate, based on photos, as "5 days" of work, instead took almost 2.5 weeks. First, the shop noted other damage which, instead of being submitted with more photos, required a visit to the shop by Allstate (a waste of 2-3 days!). Then, because Allstate wouldn't initially approve new 'door skins', the work was done with 'no do'. When that didn't look right, skins were approved, causing further delay. Bottom line...when I take my car 'to the dealership', whether for body work or maintenance (it's ALL THE SAME to me!), I expect greater coordination, both within Hinshaw, and with the insurance company!

The work wasn't completed, items were missed and there is a small ripple in my paint. I will now need to schedule another appointment to come in and have it fixed. Disappointed. I brought in my car on September 1st. Picked it up today, September 11th. My expectation was experiencing an enhanced approach to the workmanship and better attention to detail.
