My only negative comment is that after dropping my car off on a Thursday afternoon I had no updates until I called the following Tuesday. Other than that my experience with Scaheffer was great.

The only part of your service I was disappointed in was I personally did not receive a detailed report on the extent of damage and the estimated cost of repair from your company. When talking to my insurance agent on Monday he had to inform me on what had been done. I have used your services in the past and including this time I have been happy with the repairs and timely manner in which they were done. I'm not sure why I didn't receive the estimate but would not let this effect doing future business with you. Just thought you might want to make note of this. thank you, Linda L

We do not have rental car insurance, so we had to rent a car during the time our vehicle was being repaired. Schaefer promised a start date of April 4, 2017; however, Schaefer continued to call us with questions about the car up until April 6th. On April 6th Schaefer called indicating they were still waiting for parts to arrive and did not have a target date for completion. On April 6th Schaefer called again and told us that the parts should be in on the 7th and the truck should take about a week to repair. We were very careful about timing the car rental with the repair work and based that decision on Schaefer's commitment to start working on the vehicle. Schaefer committed to Tuesday April 4th. We dropped the car off on April 4th. Since repairs did not start until 4-7, we spent an extra 300 on renting a car when it really wasn't necessary. They should have asked us to drop the car off on April 7th for repair work. Very disappointing and costly.

The car looks great, everyone was friendly and the service was very quick. My only complaint is that my car smells very heavily of paint (and this is 3 days later). I've never had body work done, so maybe this is the norm, but it's a little stinky for a frequently used car with 2 toddlers.

When I brought my vehicle in for the designated repair, I discussed with one of your estimators about the cost of repairing various door dings & scratches on the side panels on both sides of my car. He told me he would get back with me on an estimate. I brought my car in on a Tuesday morning-& was told it should be complete by early to midweek following. I received a call 8 days later indicating my car would be finished by 5:00 that day. When I asked about the scratches & door dings, she indicated that she had read the notes & would get back with me--however the minor repairs would possibly be complimentary. Later that day, I received a call updating me that the paint on the repairs was not completely dry & it would not be ready until Thursday. When I asked about a time estimate, she said it may possibly be ready by 7:30 a.m.-however she would call me to let me know. She also offered to call my insurance company to insure there would be no additional cost for my car rental coverage to me-as Schaeffer would pick it up if there was. I did not get a call so I called mid-morning. She then told me that it would later in the day-approximately 5:00. I received an additional call later telling me the clips that were supposed be included with my bumper were not sent-they would be there on Friday & I would be able to pick my car up no later than 5:00. I was not upset because I felt Schaeffer kept me updated-and had waived the cost on repairing the door dings & minor scratches. I ended up picking my car up around 3:00-walked behind my car & was thrilled at the repair work. When I arrived home-I was able to more closely look at the side panels-realizing that the door dings were still there as well as the minor scratches. Schaeffer had possession of my car for 10 days..I would have paid to have these repairs done while it was there-was told it would be addressed by Schaeffer-only to realize it had not been at all. Not sure what happened..... otherwise, I am happy with my repair. Just disappointed that it wasn't done while my car was there & I had use of a rental. Natalie is awesome...????

Communication was very poor. I requested Webste Groves but was continually put at O'Fallon. The repair was done at WG but since it was continually assigned to O'Fallon, the WG office never had anything and was always confused. No one ever got back to me and notified me that the estimate was complete. I made an appointment for the repair at WG and I got there and they didn't know what I was talking about because, again, they thought it was at O'Fallon. I am guessing the repair took longer then it should have because of that. I was called at 5 pm at work and told that my car was done and needed to be picked up by 5:30. Not much notice. Also, when I called to ask if the estimate was complete, the person I talked to was very unprofessional. Everyone else was polite. The repair was well done.
