This was the third experience I've had with two Service King locations in San Antonio. At one location the final costs increased 83% and 81% from the original estimates. At the other location it increased 48%. I understand the original estimate cannot determine underlying damage. That was not the case in the latest experience in which only a additional areas had to be painted. Nevertheless, your process of providing a true estimate only once the vehicle is in your possession and dismantled forces the customer to accept the cost. With your experience in repairing collision damage, surely you can estimate better than this the first time and not create the impression that you are exploiting the customer.

Your lack of customer service was a turn off. You expect to be greeted and taken care of when you walk in. Instead you’re directed to sign in on an IPad and be prepared to have all of your information ready, claim number, address, etc. it was a bit extreme. Then you wait and hope someone comes to take care of you. After submitting all of the information on the iPad , I just sat there and waited. After several minutes, a gentleman happens to walk by and ask if I’ve been helped. After this interaction, someone finally comes to take care of me. I was already disappointed with this company by the time I was called in. This is not a great way to start your day. I thought the time taken to fix my vehicle was way too long. If you as a company have too many cars to work on, don’t set up appointments. My service rep James was great.

The repair took too long and the car was presented to me for pickup three times with things still wrong. That is not acceptable. Maybe they were hoping I wouldn’t notice and just take it and leave. The car was also presented to me in a filthy condition. I’ve used this place several times before and never had that happen. I won’t use this Service King again.
