I've been a Carstar customer for more than 10 years. I've been satisfied in the past, but not this time. There were three I specifically mentioned to the Carstar rep when I dropped it off for repairs. None of the three were properly addressed. The actual bodywork was well done with one small exception. My dissatisfaction includes these areas. ****) you had the car for 20 days for a less than $5,000 repair. I need the fob reprogrammed because the car thief still had a fob. I was told the reprogramming was one reason the repair would take so long. On the day I was scheduled to pick up my car, I wanted to confirm the fob issue had been taken care of. It had not, so I had to wait another 3 days. (by the way, I'm partially paying for my own rental). 2) The thiefs had partied inside the car, it was a smelly mess. I asked if you could sanitize it. I was assured a special team would clean the car. What I got was washed windows and a vacuum. The car didn't even appear to have been wiped down with a wet cloth. There were still coffees spills and hair on the console and seats. 3) I mentioned more than once, that the car squealed like a pig in reverse. Again, I was assured it would be addressed. When I picked it up, it still squealed as I left your shop, but it was Friday afternoon and I'd already turned in my rental. And frankly, I was so fed up dealing with your agent who talks a lot, but at least with my experience, does not listen well. I own a business, too. I know the temptation to let quality slide when things get busy. But things are not always busy and losing good customers can hurt during the down times. You lost a good customer.

I was really disappointed to find my jacket laying laying on the floor boards and they had walked all over and had shoe prints all over on the inside liner of the jacket somehow it was not on the floor when I brought it there but I guess it was too much trouble for them to pick it up and put it on the car seat or move it out of the way and said they just decided to walk all over it

I am very familiar with Carstar having been unfortunate to have had quite a few accidents - through no fault of mine - over the years. Farmers insurance directed my husband and I to Carstsrs, so this is how our relationship started. I can honestly say that I have always had a first class experience: from the pleasant initial reception to the technical and mechanical explanations. The paint and finish of the bumper that was repaired on my Volvo were quite good but a lot of details were executed poorly. The main thing that I am unhappy about though is that I got the car back and about an hour later noticed that the freshly painted bumper had been hit against the ground by one of the staff (most likely to move it outside to wash it) which left a large section of gouged bumper on the bottom as well as cracked paint on the face of the bumper. Additionally, the painted bumper spoiler fit against the upper textured section was done incorrectly. Where the bumper pieces fit together were not fully clipped together so when the fender liner was riveted in place, the sections had a large gap. To add to this, the left front fender was scratched up from the bumper install, and someone poorly attempted to buff out the fender which did not need to be done. To add to all of this, the bumper hardware was incorrectly installed. The bumpers are held in place with torx screws that hold it to the bumper beam. These are specific to top and bottom as the bottom ones have a taller shoulder. I saw one of these on the top ( there may be more hiding under the headlight trim) and it causes the bumper to not be able to be tightened in this location. There was also a clip missing from one of the eyelid trim pieces under the headlight and when I picked up the car one of the trim pieces was popped out over an inch from where it should have been. The paint laid down on the bumper looked great and had great color match other than one spot where someone didn't buff it enough and heavy wet sanding marks remained. This was an insurance job but I am honestly extremely disappointed with how this was done. It seems the car was thrown back together with little care of how it was done
