My original estimate did not include a complete repair. I did not know this at the time. I requested the amount quoted to me to my insurance, and received a check.
When I brought the car in for the agreed work, I learned a small area which was slated to be “rubbed out”, could not be rubbed out, and needed actual painting.
This would include painting the entire fender. Clearly not included in the original estimate.
The suggestion was to make another request to the insurance company—- not an option for me.
The small area was simply touched up with paint.
This car is being leased. I am extremely careful of the vehicle, and want to return it in perfect condition.
As and aside:
When the insurance co. send their adjuster, the quoted price was twice the price of your figure. I called the company, told them their guy was way out of line, and that I wanted to bring the car to you. You have done work for me before, and I trust you.
They then gave me permission to give the work to you.
