The completion date changed 4 times, and finding that date was difficult. I called the day before the original pickup asking for a status update, left a callback number and heard nothing. I went by the shop the next day and "oh, yeah, sorry we didn't call you. Are you signed up for our emails?" Whenever I would call for an update I would call a central office, which would then contact the shop, then talk to me. Why can't I call the shop directly? Also, I got a "don't call us, we'll call you" attitude each time I called. I have to have someone drop me off at the shop, so I have to coordinate 2 schedules, as well as normalactivities for my family when I get the car. When I picked up my car, the a/c, steering wheel, and side mirrors were all radically different than when I dropped off the car. Not a great thing driving with those settings changed. I had kept a stash of napkins and straws in my driver door which were gone upon pickup. When I did get the car, I asked what was different in the estimate going from $3k to $5k, and the tech couldn't answer, but said I would be emailed the next business day with the changes, which never happened. The work was fine, but the customer service was awful and I would never recommend this company.
I was treated very well. They helped with getting my rental and turning it back in. The car looks better where they repaired it than before even the accident! Looks new! Thank you for everything!

Unfortunately, I have had to use Schaefer's Autobody twice in the last few years but I have to say I would not use anyone else. They are the best. Fast, professional service always with regular update. They even had the rental car waiting for me. Great service. Thank you, Schaefer's.
