Porche Salesman Accused Of Stealing Over $2.5 Million

A former employee of Champion Porche in Pompano Beach, Florida was recently been accused of pocketing over $2.5 million in customer deposits for non-existent limited edition Porches. 44 year old Shiraaz Sookralli ran the scam for over a year, taking orders for rare Porche models that the dealership itself was never to carry.  Champion Porche is currently the nation's highest volume Porche dealership and is now attempting to disentangle themselves from their former salesperson, who has disappeared.

Sookralli and his wife allegedly created a fictitious entity called "Champion Autosport", through which they ran their victims deposits. In exchange, they presented their "customers" with a fraudulent "buyer deposit agreement." All of the proceeds were siphoned to personal accounts. 

The scheme was uncovered on September 4 of this year when customers began calling about the status of their orders.

Sookralli was last seen leaving work on August 28, at which time he apparently also stole a desktop computer for an unknown reason. Champion Porche has vowed to compensate the defrauded parties.

Sookralli had been experiencing financial difficulties stemming from back child support payments and a heavy garnishment of his wages.

He also has heavy credit card debt, exceeding $176,000 from 2016. Law enforcement is currently searching for the whereabouts of Sookralli and his wife and business associates have declined to comment on the situation.
