5 Ways to Make Your Car Safer and More Comfortable

Many of us spend a lot of time in our cars, so making them better, more comfortable and efficient is always a good idea. At Service King Oak Cliff in Dallas, TX we are happy to share these five tips with you, so that your vehicle will be better and safer overall.

1.) Improve Your Windshield's Visibility

When you’re behind the wheel at night or when it's snowing or raining, nothing is more crucial than excellent visibility. Windshield wipers are well-known for drying out and cracking within a short time. To prolong their life and clean them, soak a clean rag with the glass cleaner of your choice. Wipe the rag up and down the entire length of your wiper blades repeatedly, and you'll quickly be able to see out your windshield much better immediately.

2.) Keep Your Car Clean and Pristine

Keeping your vehicle clean can sometimes be difficult. Depending on where you live and drive, your car can get filthy fast, as you encounter dusty dirt roads,  trees that drop sap, leaves and branches, pet hair, food crumbs and wrappers. If people see that your car's interior is dirty and unorganized, they will assume that you're a messy person in the rest of your life. Create a trash can for your car and line it with a grocery bag and use it as an in-car trash receptacle. To keep the container upright, apply a self-adhesive hook and loop fastener to the bottom of the trash can so that it will stick to your car's carpet.

3.) Create Your Own Car Air Freshener

Freshen your vehicle with scented candle wax by punching holes in the lid of a mason jar with a hammer and a large nail for a DIY car air freshener. Add wax to the jar and then replace the lid--it's easy. When the temperature in your automobile rises, the wax will melt, filling your car with a pleasant fragrance that you and your passengers will appreciate.

4.) Buy a Park Zone PZ-1600 Precision Parking Tool

If you constantly get out of your vehicle only to find that you’ve botched your parking job, consider this parking aid. It’s especially useful for parking in small garages because it enables you to pull up far enough without tapping your front bumper. The traffic signal display on the gadget alerts you for when you’ve pulled up far enough, taking out the guesswork and making your life a little easier.

5.) Get a Plug-In Seat Warming Device

Some cars have in-seat warmers already, but if they don't an aftermarket one will do the job. In areas where the weather can get cold and nasty especially during the Fall and Winter months, this device will keep you warm and cozy while you travel down the road.
