I got a text when I dropped off the car saying I would get status updates by text.
Yet when I called on Friday to seeif my car would be ready I was told it would be delayed my two days. Girl at office said she would call on Monday. No call on Monday by 09:00 so I called and was told it would be not ready until Wednesday.
Had to change six hotel reservations as a consequence.
Heard nothing on Wednesday so called at 3:30 and was told it was ready.
So no call from the shop on Monday as promised. No text to tell methe repair was delayed.
No call on Wednesday when the car was finished. And no text telling me it was finished either.
Pickedup the vehicle and paif for the deductible on Thursday morning. THEN got a text thanking me for my business.
A text messaging system that only tells me that I've dropped my car off and that I've picked it up is useless. Texts saying the repair was delayed would have been hpful. As would a text telling me when it was done. But no such texts were sent. Nor were phone calls made to that effect. I had to call to enquire, which left me with the impression the I'm not an important enough customer to warrant that kind of professional courtesy.
I received an apology when I picked up the car, but if the texting system actually provided useful status information it would have been a much better experience.
