The 2019 Acura RDX Earns Coveted IIHP Rating
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety was recently evaluated the 2019 Acura RDX and the verdict is in. It has officially earned the rating of Top Safety Pick Plus. The requirements to attain this rating are tough. They are: Earn Good ratings on roof strength, side impact, head restraints, moderate front overlap, and driver's side front small overlap impact. Earn Acceptable or Good ratings on the passenger's side small overlap impact. Earn Advanced or Superior ratings in the front crash prevention test. Finally, a vehicle must offer an available headlight option that scores a Good rating. This is no mean feat, but the RDX met these requirements and then some.
The specs on the car itself are impressive as well. Its 272 HP, 2 liter turbocharged engine gives some great acceleration and top speeds. It also has a 10 speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive is an option.
Being in the industry we are, here at Reed Lallier Chevrolet Body Shop in Fayetteville, NC we understand just how important safety features are.
If you're in the market for a new car in the near future, the new Acura RDX is certainly worth a look.
