Recall On 2019 Subaru Ascents May Lead To Vehicle Replacement
Recalls are not at all uncommon. As a matter of fact, it's a great indication that a manufacturer is willing to address their mistakes. Some handle recalls better than others, but there are very few manufacturers that are willing to replace an entire car in the process.
In one of the most expensive recalls in recent history, Subaru has issued recalls for some 2019 Ascents. The problem lies with a possible lack of spot welds on the b-column. The lack of welds could severely affect the structural integrity of the vehicle, especially in a crash.
As a fix Subaru has opted to replace the entire vehicle in the event that a consumer has one of the affected vehicles.
To determine whether or not you may have one of the weld-deficient Ascents, you can use the car's VIN to check.
The link to the checker tool is available through the manufacturer.
Here at Joseph Chevrolet Collision Center in Cincinnati, OH we strongly urge you to check if you believe you may have one. That said, there are only an estimated 293 vehicles that were affected.
Hopefully all of the recalls are addressed before any unfortunate incidents occur.
