Our History

Cooks Collision was purchased by Bob Wood from Ray Cook in 1979, and would eventually grow into one of the largest family owned repair chains in Northern California. Bob Wood had originally planned to change the name of the business when he initially bought it, but due to the excellent reputation Cooks had earned, he decided to keep it. Cooks Collision was known for its quality work and for its specialized restorations throughout the San Francisco peninsula, and he wanted to keep that reputation alive.

Today, Cooks Collision is run by Bob Wood’s two sons, with 34 locations, one being Cooks Collision of Napa on Enterprise Way, and with over 600 specialty trained employees. Cooks Collision is the largest family-owned collision repair company in the country, and proudly welcome the 4th generation of Woods to the family business.
