Absolutely loved the text message updates. It helped out with me not having to constantly call up the auto body shop and asking "what's the stays?" All the time. My only suggestion would be that have an update done daily, at relatively the same time. Even if it's a small percentage change of 60% one day and then 68% the next (completely example).
