Pros: Gabes has great customer service. The work looks good so far. The paint is perfect. Craig goes out of his way to make you feel appreciated. I was even offered a ride home when initially bringing in my vehicle bc it was not drivable. Great place, great mechanics, great customer service. This is a great choice in a shop. You will be satisfied. Cons: (Will be over explained) I was told my car would take about 3 weeks. Gabes uses Carwise which is an automated messaging system that updates your vehicles repair status. In the car wise system My car had a 3 week turnaround expectation(Dropped off on 3/4, Pickup on 3/24). I called Gabe's on 3/24 and Craig informed me that he was going to contact me that same day to tell me that a very important part had not arrived (Radiator Support). So basically they only were able to tear down my vehicle at that point and couldnt begin work. I understand part delays, I understand insurance adjuster issues, I understand automated systems not being perfect. I understand deer season, collision upticks during the spring, i understand crazy volumes and annoying customers. I tried to avoid bothering the shop too much, I tried to avoid being an "annoying" customer. I figured "no news = good news" but I was very wrong. Its hard to keep track of everything im sure but I think customers deserve more communication when it comes to delays and parts coming in or not coming in. Im from the area, but live an hour away currently and chose Gabes based off of recommendations. I feel bad even complaining because of how kind the people are but there needs to be an easier way for employees (or customers) to access important information in regards to delays . In turn you will have less "annoying customers" and you can regulate expectations. Finding out the DAY that your car is supposed to be FINISHED, that your car actually is not even close to being done is pretty frustrating especially when its already been 3 weeks of you trying to not bother the shop , expecting that if something is wrong they will contact you.. Summary: Gabes is great all around, but communication is lacking.. Dont think its employee incompetence but rather circumstances. False promises, whether verbally or electronically are not good for business and lead to customer frustration.

The vehicle was in such bad shape they could repair it and they were honest enough to tell us to take it home and save the money. We appreciate it. They could have fixed the bumper and gotten the money but told us it wasn’t worth it.
