I learned of K & G while considering working with another firm for restoration of my 1967 MGB, a convertible. I called Le Mans, a high level paint and body shop in Santa Monica, to ask whether they restored MG cars. No, but they knew of a capable firm in Riverside, with which they had worked for some time. This tip led to a visit with Mr. Ross Kulkin, the manager of K & G. He gave me an estimate that was lower than that of my other contact and offered to have my car taken out to Riverside from West Los Angeles and returned to my home. I then agreed to work with K & G. I recommend them without reserve. The main thing is that they love working on cars rather than simply regarding such projects as business. They saved me considerable money by polishing my chrome with steel wool rather than having me buy replacements. Every other detail, including some that I specifically asked them to see to, such as having the engine steam cleaned, was perfectly treated, and they even discovered some improvements that I had failed to mention. They followed the proposed schedule punctually and sent me photographs showing the work in progress. They also worked to their estimate. Above all, as I have said, they are a firm with obvious enthusiasm for and love of their work. My MG sparkles as if new and I expect many compliments to its beauty as I resume driving it.
